Departures - Memory

The sky is always the best view.

So many activities to do tomorrow.
I have no idea which one to choose.

1. Check TEP Schedule
2. Apply for Singapore Youth Flying Club
3. Squash - 11am to 1pm
4. 12pm - SBM Club Orientation Briefing
5. Outing with BL mates in afternoon.
6. Mahjong from 10pm onwards.

The first 2 is a must for me.
For squash - it crashes with the briefing.
For outing, not really confirmed yet.
and i want mahjong too.

---------------------------------------

But anyway i forgot to mention this really nice movie that i have watched last wednesday with zhi wei.
We catch this movie at night - Departures.

Basically the film discusses death in another point of view. It’s sad but somehow I can’t control myself from laughing at certain scenes because of the hillarious dialogue. Watching this film is like riding a roller coaster in short, at one point you can’t stop laughing and while you are still unprepared for what happen next, the movie reminds you of reality.

Guess this is why it touches people’s heart too.

The main actor in the movie, Masahiro Motoki is a former cellist who then switched his profession by chance. One of the main soundtrack is Memory, with cello as the leading instrument and accompnied by piano which is composed by Joe Hisaishi, who is best known for his work in Hayao Miyazaki’s animated feature films.

Memory, one of the best songs I have heard in 2009.
When i listen to this song, i feel sadness and also a strange sense of energy to recover from the sadness. Basically it explains life - happy, sad, the dream that you are fighting for, obstacles that you will meet, enjoyment. Afterall everyone has an ending to life, whether it writes off with a sounding and memorable chapter, depends on the path we take.
Listen to it, its my blog song.
